"Just wanted to say this thread was really useful"

I write mostly for myself but I have to admit it's a nice feeling when something I wrote helped another referee make a good call...

We all need to have our fellow referees’ backs, whether it’s at a game or digitally.

A couple days ago, I attended a DOGSO/SPA clinic. I posted the notes here.

I only have a handful of subscribers and I thought they might be helpful for other referees. So I also posted the notes to RefChat.

Cross posting does help the content get more eyeballs and engagement since the RC forum is pretty active.

It got a few comments and good feedback.

But my favorite comment was from one SammyT5.

Just wanted to say this thread was really useful. Came in handy tonight on a controversial but 100% DOGSO call I made, so thank you.

Takeaway: A lot of what I write here is for myself. It’s meant to be a diary of my journey as a growing and driven referee.

But if others read it and find it helpful, that’s cool too.

It’s really cool to hear something I posted actually helped another referee make the right call in their game.

Any impact this blog can have is awesome and I’m here for it.
